About

Who I am, what I study and where I am heading next.

Portrait of Parshav Singla

Computer science graduate, backend engineer and researcher

I finished a B.E. in Computer Science at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology in Patiala in June 2026, with a CGPA of 8.65 out of 10. I am the first author of two peer-reviewed papers: one on multilingual summarisation in Elsevier’s Knowledge-Based Systems and one on conversational speech in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems.

My research covers machine learning for language, speech, brain signals and medical images, and the safety of multimodal models. I like turning a research question into a careful experiment, and I care most about systems that stay reliable when their input is noisy, multilingual or misleading.

Alongside research I work as a backend engineer. At Flick Network I started in presales, running demos and discovery calls with enterprise clients, and moved into the backend team in July 2026 to build electronic invoicing integrations for clients in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman. I am also a part-time Junior Research Fellow at Thapar, testing vision-language models against prompt injection on an Xebia-sponsored project. Earlier I did internships at Samsung R&D Institute India and ISRO, and led student teams of three and four people.

Languages: Hindi and Punjabi (native), English (fluent).
